Mr. Ndahotuli had been farming sorghum in the DRC for many years, but after obtaining technical training and improved seed varieties from EUCORD, his rice yield dramatically improved, from 700kg/ha to more than 5,000 kg/ha. Now, Mr. Ndahotuli manages over 4 hectares of planted farmland in the city of Kiliba, has been able to employ others to help maintain it. Thanks to EUCORD’s ability to access the market of the brewery Bralima, he has reaped the benefits of his high production levels. Due to his new-found source of income, he has completed the construction of his house and been able to send his two children to study at University.
