Goal
EUCORD supports the efforts of the Ethiopian Seed Partnership and Resilience B.V. by helping to bridge the gap between foreign and domestic seed companies. This consultancy aims to create a business relationship between international and Ethiopian seed companies to bolster seed production of sunflower and/or canola in Ethiopia.
What We Do
Key activities include:
- Assessing the interest of international seed companies to start activities in Ethiopia in the edible oil and animal feed value chains.
- Designing a partnership agreement between an international and local seed company to start local sunflower and/or canola seed production.
- Training local seed companies on sunflower and/or canola seed production and initiating seed uptake activities (e.g. through demonstrations and field days).
